Evel’s Empire was discovered, not built.
The Empress set out to make things that were true. Pieces that could not have been made for anyone else. Expressions of a self that refused to be generic, for people who felt the same way about themselves.
She believes that the person who receives something made specifically for them — not picked from a shelf, not processed through a factory, but imagined and built for them by hands that considered who they are — is changed, in some small and real way, by the experience of receiving it.
